Dea is the office manager and project coordinator for ArcTerra. As the “voice on the phone” Dea answers questions, handles project paperwork, schedules work efforts and acts as the link between clients, government agencies, and the support contractors. Dea has worked in Alaska for 40 years with over 25 years of experience as an engineering and planning technician. In order to ensure the highest quality outcome for each job, Dea has access to a wide range of contacts to provide answers and/or technical support to clients when needed. Dea’s knowledge of local government codes and procedures both in Anchorage and the Mat-Su borough provides our clients with a resource they can count on, whether it is buying or selling their home or applying for permits.
With practiced ease she tackles complicated issues and paperwork heavy regulations, reducing the burdens and stresses for clients and providing clear and direct explanations to all tasks. Dea helps our clients with the contracting process of requesting construction bids, coordinating construction schedules and providing references to qualified professional to address any repair or civil work they may need. Dea’s ability to coordinate multiple projects including inspections, construction timelines, and reports while maintaining quality contact with clients is an asset that never falters even during the busy times of the year. An example of her skills would be the Harold Loop Water Improvement Project: the testing of 14 residential private wells to monitor if waterline construction had any negative effect on the water production, well casings or aquifer quality. As the Project Coordinator, Dea was handling the scheduling of the tests, personal contact with property owners, laboratory contact & scheduling, coordination with the construction contractor, and the publishing & distribution of the final reports. Dea oversaw the publishing of the fourteen individual property owner reports, and three complete before & after reports for both the contractor and government agency involved.
