John Schuller, P.L.S. Schuller Land Surveying

John is a Professional Land Surveyor licensed in Alaska, California, and Arizona. John has made his home in Alaska since 1981. John has had his own surveying company off and on since coming to Alaska and has worked with ArcTerra for the past 8 years. As-built lot surveys, plot plans for new construction, setting lot corners and quieting lot line disputes are just a part of John’s survey skills. John’s knowledge and understanding of survey law and survey hierarchy are essential when he is called upon to evaluate and reconcile several conflicting surveys for the same property. In the instance of the Knik-Goose Bay Tesoro remodel site, John had to retrace several different adjoining property surveys along with the State right-of-way taking the survey to determine and “quiet” the property lines for the site. He then did the site survey to provide accurate dimensions and topography to ensure positive drainage and maximum use of the property. John has extensive experience in subdivision layout surveys, topographical modeling and re-contouring, construction staking as well as utility line and grade surveying and control. John uses electronic survey equipment that allows real-time GPS coordinates, and computer downloads that take his field work directly to his computer workstation for complete electronic engineering drawings for design purposes and client satisfaction. John has extensive knowledge in 3D modeling, schematic renderings, and construction quantity calculations for project evaluation and cost estimating.
